Baby Wilson

C4C Kids 049
Dear Amy, Elizabeth, and Akiko,

Wilson was brought to us here in Haiti by his Aunt who was not able to feed him. His mother died during childbirth and her sister was not able to take care of Wilson. He was diagnosed with colic and acid reflux, but after switching him to a new formula he is doing much better. Thanks to your donation, Wilson is getting plenty of bottles filled with nutritious formula. Once Wilson is healthy he will be moved into our adoption program. Thank you for helping Wilson get the food he needed!

morgan
Dear Angelo, Jordan, and Holly,

Thanks to your generosity, Clifford has begun treatment under our Medika Mamba program. He was brought to us by a visiting nurse here in Haiti who had seen him in the village where she was administering health care. Our goal is to get Clifford from his current weight of 5 pounds (6 months old) to a healthier weight for his age. Once we are successful he will return to his mother and siblings. Thank you supporting Clifford and for helping us restore his health.

Thanks to your donation, she was seen by our team and put on a deworming treatment.  She just came back last week for a follow up visit and she is completely worm free and gaining weight now that she doesn’t have to share her food with the worms that had infected her. Thank you very much.

Paola is healthy and happy

C4C Kids 039
Dear Elizabeth and Akiko,

Paola was brought to us by IBESR, which is the social welfare department in Haiti. Since they have no funding to take care of abandoned children, they refer these little ones to the care of various orphanages. Paola arrived at the end of January and was in need of nourishment (both pysical and emotional). Thanks to your donation of Baby Formula, she is now doing much better. We are also adding Pediasure to her diet to strengthen her muscles and add even more vitamins! Thank you for making a difference.

Grace is growing!

Grace2
Dear Tanu and Carrie,

Baby Grace is an amazing baby. Left abandoned and to fend for herself, she survived 5 days without any food, milk, water or shelter and was found by a passerby. Grace was brought to IBESR (Haiti’s social welfare department) and is now under our care. Thanks to your donation of monthly formula, we can care for Grace and get her on a path to health. Grace’s name is perfect, without grace and your generosity she wouldn’t have made it.

Dear Deborah, Elizabeth, Pradeep, and Carolyn,

This is our newest addition, Robens. He arrived into our orphanage a few weeks ago and was dehydrated and malnourished. Thanks to your generosity, he has been gulping down his bottle. His skin is glowing and he is a happy baby again. Robens was brought to us by his maternal grandmother. She had been trying to take care of him after his mother left, but was struggling to provide food and formula. We are grateful for your support!

Germina needed medical treatment

Gemina2
Dear Carol and Elizabeth,

Germina is a 13 year old sweetheart that lives at an orphanage in Haiti with her twin sister. They have been living in this orphanage for over 6 years. Germina was very uncomfortable and having skin problems. Thanks to your donation, we were able to provide a month of medical care for the children living in Germina’s orphanage.

This nurse was able to spend time with Germina and diagnosed her with a parasite. You can see from the picture that it had even spread to her hair. Thanks to your help she was put on antibiotics and is making significant progress. Many thanks for helping her get healthy.

Junior could not use his hands

Junior Hands
Dear Chris, Stacey, Dave, and Carol,

Junior was suffering from a severe skin infection known as Dyshidrosis here in Haiti. It is not commonly found in the U.S., but is easily treatable if treated. Junior had been abandoned and most likely the trauma that this induced brought on the infection. But because of your life changing donation, Junior is now being seen every day by a nurse and being treated with a topical steroid cream. He is on the mend and should be completely healthy within the month.

Thank you!

Dear Amy, Deborah, and Erin,

We welcomed this sweet baby into our nutrition program in Haiti at the first of the year. She is 8 months old, but was struggling for her life. She has been on the Medika Mamba program for 3 weeks now and is showing significant improvement, as you can see from this photo. Thank you for your life changing donation!

Robens can breathe free!

101
Dear David, holly, and Chris and Emily,

Our visiting nurse came to do a medical screen on Robens here in Haiti. His mom was worried about his chronic cough and what she described as “water in his throat.” This was Robens’ first vist to a nurse or doctor. He is 4 years old and Nurse Chris diagnosed his condition as severe bronchitis. Thanks to your donation he was given an antibiotic and just had his second checkup. He is breathing free with no congestion. Thank you for clearing up his bronchial infection.
